Friends of Sorrento can provide accommodation, transfers and customised excursion itineraries to suit a range of curriculum requirements. Supportive promotional leaflets can also be produced for distribution to parents. View example leaflet.
We offer a wide choice of excursion destinations and educational activties that can be arranged to suit a range of curriculum requirements. These could include History, The Classics, Geography, Art, Music, Travel and Tourism, Latin and Italian. In addition to the wide choice of locations listed below, the students can also enjoy less formal subject related activities such as ‘treasure hunts’, art classes, ice cream making demonstrations and tastings, town and country tours on special buses.
Organisers are provided with full UK based support to produce an itinerary that suits their visit objectives together with accommodation, transport and inspection visits. A Sorrento based representative is allocated to each visiting group, for the trip’s duration, to assist the organiser and answer any queries. We feel this is an importance aspect of our service and one that enables the organiser to concentrate on achieving the school’s objectives and pupil aspirations and not be distracted by minor but sometimes time consuming issues. The representative will meet the organiser on a daily basis.
The Sorrento based representative will also provide full support during pre inspection visits to ensure the organiser obtains the necessary information to satisfy the requirements of their school and LEA risk assessment and safety management systems and guidelines.
Music Tour Itinerary Proposal
Day One
Leave Hotel at 09.00 for visit to San Carlo House in Naples.
The San Carlo tour will be reserved in advance and include the entry fee and an authorised guide just for the group. There will be time for an authentic Neapolitan Pizza.
Leave Naples at 15.00 to arrive at Sorrento hotel around 16.30
Visit Sorrento for meal at local restaurant before attending the Sorrento Musical, 20.30 -23.00.
Monday 3 April (Itinerary to be discussed)
Morning. Visit concert venue in Sorrento for rehearsals
Afternoon. Visit Positano or a tour of Sorrento (not included in costs at this stage)
Evening. Concert
Tuesday 4 April
Leave hotel at 09.00 for a guided tour of Pompeii before continuing on to Rome airport for 19.00 flight departure.
